My name is Alec Blenis and I am an endurance athlete living in Roswell, GA. I began my athletic career as one of the first Spartan Race Pro Team runners; I was named to the team after dozens of OCR podium finishes in 2012 and 2013. I competed for Spartan Race in 2013 and 2014, and have since shifted my focus away from obstacle racing, towards ultra running. I have had a heart for long distance events since I completed my first 50 miler at 16 years old.

In 2015, I completed my longest ultra marathon yet, the Georgia Death Race: a 68 mile mountain race with 40,000 feet of elevation change. At 21 years old, I'm still typically the youngest racer at many ultras. I love taking a unique approach and applying the skills I developed in the OCR world to some of the craziest endurance events in the world. I don't train like most distance runners.

I consider myself a hybrid athlete. I love to run trails, mountains, and obstacle courses. I lift weights, swim, cycle, practice yoga, ruck, and explore the outdoors. You might be thinking... CrossFit Endurance? Hardly. CFE is great at getting you stronger while training to finish an endurance event. My programming is great at getting you stronger while training to win one.

In addition to running, I also love writing race reviews, product reviews, doing podcasts, and more. Click here to see all the guest features and reviews I've done in the past... and feel free to contact me if you'd be interested in an interview, product review, etc.
